Abstract

Kota Padang menghadapi tantangan banjir yang semakin sering terjadi akibat menurunnya kapasitas daerah resapan, sedimentasi sungai, perubahan penggunaan lahan, serta meningkatnya volume sampah. Untuk merumuskan solusi, dilakukan diskusi dan audiensi dengan Komisi 3 DPRD Kota Padang yang bertujuan menggali perspektif legislatif terhadap penyebab dan penanganan banjir. Dalam pertemuan ini dipaparkan kondisi terkini terkait kerusakan daerah tangkapan air, pendangkalan sungai akibat galian C, lemahnya pengelolaan sampah, serta pemanfaatan sempadan sungai yang tidak sesuai aturan. Diskusi menunjukkan bahwa banjir di Padang bersifat multifaktorial dan membutuhkan pendekatan terpadu. DPRD menekankan pentingnya reboisasi hulu, pengendalian galian C, peningkatan kapasitas drainase, normalisasi sungai, serta penguatan regulasi dan peran masyarakat. Hasil audiensi memperlihatkan komitmen bersama untuk mendorong kebijakan yang lebih tegas dan program kolaboratif dalam pengelolaan banjir dan sampah di Kota Padang.
