PERAN PEMERINTAH DAERAH DALAM MEMBERIKAN JAMINAN SOSIAL PADA PENYANDANG DISABILITAS

Abstract

One of the goals of welfare development in Indonesia includes persons with disabilities who currently have problems in terms of social welfare, to improve development and accelerate economic growth, the government must pay attention to the conditions of existing human resources. The purpose of the research at the Social Service P2KB and P3A Bungo Regency is to determine the role of the Regional Government in providing social security to persons with disabilities, to find out the obstacles faced by the Regional Government in providing social security to persons with disabilities, and to know the efforts made by conducted by the Regional Government in providing social security to persons with disabilities. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, while the population in this study is the Social Service P2KB and P3A Bungo District and guardians of persons with disabilities. And the number of research analysis units studied was 7 people. From the research results it is known that the role of the Bungo District Government through the Bungo Regency Social Service in providing social security for persons with disabilities including conducting socialization activities by providing motivation to improve selfconfidence and mentality of persons with disabilities, providing special tools for persons with disabilities, both of which are still less effectiv
