Abstract

Unemployment is one of the complex problems in developing countries like Indonesia. The government and universities need to work together to overcome these problems. One of the things that can be done by universities is by changing the mindset of students from job seekers to job creators. This study aims to analyze the effect of empathy and erceived sosial support on sosial entrepreneurial intentions. This type of research is a quantitative research design with survey techniques. The sample used in this study were 155 (students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Bung Hatta University). The analysis used is multiple linear regression techniques. The results of this study indicate that perceived sosial support has a positive and significant effect on  sosial entrepreneurial intention. While empathy does not affect to sosial entrepreneurial intention. The implications of this research for universities need to be able to redesign the entrepreneurship curriculum into sosial entrepreneurship
