Analisis Rosotan Penyerapan CO2 Kawasan Hutan Di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengurangan daya serap CO2 akibat perubahan luas lahan hutan di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota pada periode 1999–2007. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dua seri Citra Landsat path 127 raw 60, 15 Juni 1999 dan 3 Juli 2007. Metode yang digunakan adalah klasifikasi terbimbing (Supervised Classification) dengan memanfaatkan teknologi remote sensing untuk menghitung luas tutupan lahan tahun 1999 dan 2007, kemudian nilai luas hutan yang hilang digunakan untuk mengetahui nilai rosotan daya serap CO2 hutan dengan asumsi bahwa kemampuan vegetasi untuk menyerap C untuk vegetasi hutan 877 gC/m2/tahun dikonversi CO2 = C x 44/12 ton/ha/tahun. Hasil menujukan kawasan hutan di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota tahun 1999 sampai 2007 berkurang seluas 63181 hektar, sehingga jumlah daya serap CO2 oleh hutan berkurang sebanyak 2031263 ton/ha/tahun. Artinya dalam kurun waktu 8 tahun hutan di Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota dan Kota Payakumbuh kehilangan daya serap 16250107 ton/hektar.
